Matthew D. Longtin graduated from Pacific University and the University of Oregon School of Law. He has been a member of the Lane County Bar Association and Oregon State Bar since 1998. Mr. Longtin is admitted to practice in all Oregon Courts as well as the United States District Court for the State of Oregon and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Longtin is a current member of the Lane County Family Law Advisory Committee, Eugene Family YMCA Board of Directors, and is the President Elect of the Eugene Family YMCA. He is a past president of the Lane County Bar Association and served as Chairman of the Lane County Judicial Applicant Review Committee. Mr. Longtin was awarded the Lane County Bar Association Joseph M. Kosydar Award for Professionalism. ln 2007, he lectured on contemporary issues in United States family law at the Harbin Institute of Technology Law School in Harbin, China. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Longtin was a surface navigator in the United States Navy and earned the Navy Achievement Medal for outstanding performance in the Persian Gulf.

Harold S. Neth practices family law as an Associate of Matthew D. Longtin, LLC. He graduated from St. John's College and earned his teaching license from Colorado State University. He taught disadvantaged and at-risk youth for many years before earning his J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law concurrently with a Master's in Conflict and Dispute Resolution. After law school, he served for two years as judicial clerk to the Honorable Mustafa T. Kasubhai at the Lane County Circuit Court. Mr. Neth is a current member of the Oregon State Bar and Lane County Bar Association, and a former member of the Lane County Bar Association Board of Directors.

Monica C. New has been a legal assistant for over 20 years, working solely in family law. She assists Matthew D. Longtin and Harold S. Neth in all phases of family law, including client intake, drafting pleadings and document production and analysis. She is often the face and voice of the firm and has years of experience and a personality that leads to a deep understanding of how to work with people going through difficult times.
